Parent Teacher Meet - Civil Engineering
The Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was held on 23rd August 2025 at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology-Diploma Section at 11.30 a.m. with the objective of strengthening the relationship between parents and teachers for the overall development of students. The meeting aimed to discuss students’ academic performance, attendance, and participation in various curricular and co-curricular activities. The meeting was attended by faculty members, parents, and students.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Shivraj Patil, Head of Civil Department. The purpose of the PTM was to strengthen communication between teachers and parents for the betterment of students.
Faculty members presented the Summer 2025 examination results, highlighting the toppers and high achievers. The performance in Unit Test 1 of current semester was also reviewed, and areas for improvement were discussed for students requiring academic support.
Attendance records and punctuality were discussed in detail. Teachers emphasized the importance of regular attendance and maintaining discipline in classrooms to achieve consistent academic growth.
The schedule for remedial sessions and extra classes was shared, especially for students with KT in the Summer 2025 examination. Parents were informed about the importance of these sessions for improving subject understanding.
The faculty updated parents on the syllabus completion status and shared the timeline for upcoming examinations. Parents were encouraged to ensure that students prepare systematically.
Teachers provided guidance on effective time management and maintaining healthy study habits to balance academics and personal time.
The plan and schedule for refresher courses for Direct Second Year (DSY) students were discussed to help them bridge academic gaps and adapt to the curriculum smoothly.
The importance of parental involvement in monitoring homework, discipline, and academic progress was emphasized. Parents were encouraged to maintain regular communication with faculty.
Parents actively participated by sharing valuable queries, suggestions, and feedback regarding academics, facilities, and student engagement. The faculty assured that their inputs would be considered for further improvement.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the HOD expressing appreciation to all parents for their participation and continuous support in fostering the students’ growth.
