Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology – Diploma Section ensures safe environment for our Students and Staff. Essential and desirable requirements / General Guidelines in the case of Fire are in place for the safety of all.

Essential requirements:

• All the Buildings are inspected for fire and life safety measures by the Local Fire Service Authorities and a Certificate to that effect is obtained.
• Fire extinguishers and Fire Ballsare hanged in the protected stands near Workshops, Laboratory, transformer sub-station and every floors of building.
• Every exit, exit access or exit discharge is continuously maintained free of all obstructions or impediments to full use in case of fire or other emergency.
• Evacuation drill is conducted for each Building periodically.
• Institute has competent man power required to handle fire and emergency situations.

Desirable requirements:

• The CCTV camera is provided to cover all the important areas of the campus.
• Fire fighting systems like extinguishers, hose reels, risers, fire balls, alarm system, sprinkler system, etc. are available.
